Our ultimate mission at CyberSmart is to create a world where no person fears for the security of their data online because every small business has the capacity to protect itself. This is no small vision and in order to get there, we need to be part of the best networks for growth and the brightest minds in cyber.
We are proud to be joining Tech Nation this year as part of a cohort of 22 UK cybersecurity companies trying to drive change in the industry.
That’s why we are proud to be joining Tech Nation this year as part of a cohort of 22 UK cybersecurity companies trying to drive change in the industry. Founded in 2010, Tech Nation is a growth platform for tech companies and their leaders. Our Cyber cohort was selected by a panel of expert judges in the field (including Mivy James, Head of Consulting for National Security, BAE Systems Applied Intelligence and Robert Coles of Crossword Cybersecurity) and is part of their Mid Stage/Upscale growth programme.
Held over a six-month period, the programme boasts a prestigious roll-call of speakers and scale coaches, including Dave Palmer (Darktrace), James Chappell (Digital Shadows), James Hadley (Immersive Labs) and Lesley Eccles (FanDuel & HelloRelish), will focus on the following scaling challenges: scaling internationally, scaling company culture and navigating access to clients and stakeholders in the cyber ecosystem.
Jamie Akhtar, CEO of CyberSmart, commented: “As we continue to scale-up and strive towards our goals, the invaluable input we will receive from Tech Nation will help us shape how we grow, how we build a great team, how we reach all those that need us, and ultimately how we build a disrupting business that generates positive impact in the industry.”
Mike Jackson, Entrepreneur Success Director, Tech Nation, commented: “The UK is already an acknowledged leader in cyber security, raising £7.8bn between 2015 and 2019, placing the UK third in the world for cyber after the US and China. In these unprecedented times that we face in light of COVID-19, there has never been a more important time to invest in and support innovative cyber solutions. At Tech Nation we are delighted to announce the second cohort of Cyber 2.0, to help unlock the growth potential for early-stage cyber scale-ups.”
