CyberSmart signs the UK Government Cyber Resilience Pledge
CyberSmart has signed the UK Government Cyber Resilience Pledge, a voluntary public commitment designed to strengthen cyber resilience across the UK economy.

Why we're supporting the pledge
The pledge brings together government and industry around practical actions that help organisations improve cyber security, reduce risk across supply chains, and make cyber resilience a Board-level priority.
As a cyber security company working with businesses and partners across the UK, CyberSmart is proud to support this initiative and help encourage wider adoption of practical, achievable cyber security measures.
What is the Cyber Resilience Pledge?
The Cyber Resilience Pledge is a UK Government initiative that encourages organisations to take action in three key areas:
1. Make cyber a Board responsibility using the Cyber Governance Code of Practice.
2. Sign up to the NCSC’s Early Warning service.
3. Take a risk-based approach to requiring Cyber Essentials across the supply chain.
These actions are designed to help organisations strengthen their own cyber resilience while also improving security across the wider economy.

CyberSmart’s commitment
CyberSmart signed the pledge declaration on 19 June 2026.
By signing, CyberSmart has committed to:
✓ Making cyber a Board responsibility
We will implement the actions within the Cyber Governance Code of Practice and ensure Board members complete the NCSC’s Cyber Governance Training within three months, and annually thereafter.
✓ Using NCSC Early Warning
CyberSmart has already registered for the NCSC’s Early Warning service.
✓ Strengthening supply chain resilience through Cyber Essentials
CyberSmart has registered for the Cyber Essentials Supplier Check Tool and is conducting a comprehensive audit of Cyber Essentials coverage across our supply chain. This will be presented to and discussed by the Board.
We will also take a risk-based approach to requiring Cyber Essentials across our supply chain,
ensuring decisions align with CyberSmart’s risk appetite and that appropriate assurance is obtained where Cyber Essentials is not required.
Going further
In addition to the three pledge actions, CyberSmart has committed to encouraging these actions within our own supply chain.
We will work with suppliers to better understand and manage cyber security risks, including the risks they may be exposed to through their own supply chains.
CyberSmart will also publish its signed pledge declaration and provide an annual public update on the steps taken to deliver against the pledge.
Why this matters?
Cyber resilience is a shared responsibility. As cyber threats continue to grow in volume, complexity and impact, organisations of all sizes need to take practical steps to protect themselves, their customers and their supply chains.
Cyber Essentials is a key part of that picture. As a government-backed certification scheme, it gives organisations a clear baseline for cyber security and helps reduce risk across the UK economy.
